CHINESE CNC ROUTER DRIVERS AND MOTORS
« on: July 14, 2011, 10:35:16 PM »
HI,

I AM WORKING ON AN CHINESE CNC ROUTER FS 1212. I HAVE REMOVED ORIGINAL INTERFACE AND INSTALLED A PMDX-126 BREAK OUT BOARD. I AM USING THE MACH 3 SOFTWARE TO RUN THIS UNIT. I HAVE THE SOFTWARE COMUNICATING OK, BUT THE MOTOR TUNNING IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. I AM NOT SURE IF THE DRIVERS ARE OK TO USE OR IF IT IS MY SET UP. I ALSO PUCHASED THREE GECKO STEPER DRIVES THAT I CAN USE, BUT I WAS TOLD THE ORIGINAL DRIVE WILL WORK FINE. BELLOW IS THE MOTOR AND DRIVER INFO. LET ME KNOW IF YOU MIGHT HAVE ANY INFO.

MOTOR DRIVER NUMBERS:     DRIVE #1 2HB808MA,  DRIVE #2   2HB504MA, DRIVE #3 2HB504MA

AXIS MOTOR NUMBERS:      V PHASE A PHASE 1.8 DEG STEP 021-54804007

THANKS,

TOM, 505-274-1730

You need to provide more information. Specifically, what's not working?
And please don't type in all caps.

The problem with the system is, when the axis are jogged they don't move and just make buzzing noises. I tried to change the motor tuning to get it moving but had no luck.

thanks

What are your acceleration and velocity settings? Set them both to 5 and try jogging.
