Spindle speed display
« on: May 15, 2011, 10:07:37 PM »
Hi
I have a CNC router controlled with a Galil 2180 controler. Until recently I used a manual control to set the spindle speed. Recently I switched to using the servo control by setting up the (w) axis for the spindle control. This works fine.  The servo drive which I am using provides a 0 to 10v output as a speed feedback. This output is connected to the OEMDRO(1100) and the system reads this fine as well.  I would like to set up the spindle speed display to show the actual RPM value but I can only get it to display a value of 0 to 10. Is there a way to apply a scale to this displayed value to have a 0 to 25000 rpm value?
Thanks for any help you may have.

You'll need to create a brain file and use a function to scale the inout to your rpm value. Brain files are covered in detail elsewhere on this forum.
