Problem with auto enlarge
« on: April 12, 2011, 04:43:20 PM »
I just installed the lockdown Version R3.043.022 on top of an older version.   The only issue I[m seeing is that the screen auto enlarge doesn't work any more.  I'm running Win7 on the controller as well as on my office machine.  On my office, it enlarges partially in the horizontal direction, while on the controller I get a square screen.  I'm using the default screenset.

Any thoughts?

Double check Auto enlarge is ticked and also reload the screen and see if that helps.

Seems to be fine here. Could it be you had the window minimised and loaded a screenset and then restored to full screen window?

I figured it out.  Mach3 autosizes only to the size the screen was at when previously shutdown.  If I maximize the screen, the screen elements do not automatically enlarge.  However, if I then exit and restart, mach starts up with the screen maximized and the elements enlarged to fit.

IMO it would be better if the auto-size operation were to occur immediately any time the screen is resized by the user, but as I always run fullscreen it doesn't matter that much to me.  The issue popped  up when I reloaded to a newer version, and the initial default(?) size was less than a full screen.

Mach3 has always been that way. Auto Enlarge does not work in realtime, it only resizes when Mach3 starts.

I believe the reason is that the screen can not redraw fast enough.
