MACH 2 Question / Help
« on: October 30, 2005, 07:02:35 PM »
Hi All.

I am verry new to all this and as my second attempt at using my Jgro Router I tried to do as sign boarder with rounded (Autocad Fillet) Corners.

I created A DXF in autocad I imported it into Mach 2 and generated the GCode.

The display didn't show anything but the first straight line and the program stops when it reaches the first curve. The message in the History file is as follows,

Mon - 07:56:35 ---Radius to end of arc differs from radius to start on Line number #10

I have read the Gcode explanation and I think it looks OK but as I said I am Very New to all this. I am using the MACH 2 Demo as I had set it up prior to MACH 3's Release and did not relish the thought of wrestling with it's set-up for testing. My CNC Puter may not be up to the task either (AMD Duron 600).

I will enclose the Files

Thanks in advance

Brian

In Mach3's Config/State Change the IJ mode to absolute instead of incremental. That setting usually causes that error message. Remember, You can only import lines and arcs from a DXF. No TTF fonts.
