Fixture Save?
« on: March 27, 2011, 12:26:01 PM »
When I close Mach3, why some times I get the message "FIXTURE SAVE?"

Should I say Yes / No, what is the difference?

In general Config, bottom right, "Optional Offset Save" controls that.

Whether or not you want to save the current offsets is up to you. If you zero all your axis each time you run a part, than you don't really need to save them. But if you want to keep your offsets from session to session, then you should save them.

You can save them any time you want from the offsets page, btw.

Got it, thanks Gerry

So it refers to Offset Save and for my needs I removed the tick from the general config. Normally I put a piece on the table and bring the axes where I want each time because I never use the same position.

Perhaps this option is good for people who do repetitive work at the same spot
