Mach 3 - CNC always stopped at the line 500
« on: March 23, 2011, 08:38:17 PM »
Hi fox,

I'm using Solidworks - MasterCam X3 - Mach 3 to engrave a text by my CNC hobby machine. Drawing, G-code generating and tool path verified are well obtained. I tried to run the program on my CNC machine. It started to cut very well. However, the program crashed at the line 500. After restarted the computer and tried to RUN FROM HERE at line 480. It stopped again at 500. It happended the same with other programs. Is there any setting need to be changed? How to solve the problem ?

Your advice is really appreciated.

Austin

That's a limitation of the DEMO version.
You need to purchase a license to go further.
Unless you have one and do not have it in the Mach3 folder?

If you go to Help > About, is your name in the window that opens? If not, your license is not working.

So, in the upper lefthand corner of your screen, it says "Mach3 CNC Licensed to: YOU" ?
If so, is there an error message when it stops ?

You may have purchased a license but have it in the wrong place.

Or like Ger said ... it might be broke.
Just coincidental that it stops at the demo limit.

Contact Andrew or Scott at Mach Support. That license evidently has issues.
