Mach 3 X 2
« on: November 20, 2006, 09:12:37 PM »
I know I have read something on this but I can't remember where. Can I have two versions of Mach on my PC? Not one that is hooked to a machine. I would like to load several versions. Where do I get the older versions?
;D If you could see the things I have in my head, you would be laughing too. ;D

You can have a version of mach 2 and 3 on the same computer.
In Mach3 you can select the "Offline" button so it will not drive a machine.
You can elect to not install the pulse engines when installing either mach version. This means it will never drive a machine until it is installed.

You can get other versions from here  http://www.machsupport.com/artsoft/downloads/downloads.htm

Thanks Benny,
I take it I can not have multiple versions of Mach 3 on the same PC. I have tried this several times with no luck.

I hate to get one up on the guru, but providing the version does not have a different pulse engine, and most dont, you can have multiple versions of Mach3 installed. Just make sure you install it to a different directory, and not use the dektop shortcuts to open it.
You will need to open Mach from within the actual folder, or create and label new shortcuts.

Remember this is dependant that the pulse engine has not also been updated.

Yell me down, I am happy to be wrong :)
