Configuring Mach on Windows 7, using device manager to get port address of PCI parallel card it indicates a port address of EC03-EC07, this will not allow the port to work. Has anyone else had this situation, and how did you determine the actual address??

Win 7 runs programs better than Vista, but hides too many things from user access.

Hi Jcburn,

Welcome to the forum.

The port address you would then enter into Mach would be EC03 (make sure you enter a zero not an O    ) It will then look like 0xEC03 indicating that it is Hex notation.

If you just type E010 then Apply then close the box, next time it is opened it will display 0xe010.

I did that, still no communication between mach 3 and the parallel card.

never mind, I have a 64 bit os.   any one have suggestions on the best way to go about this issue before I go find an old dinosaur? All the external motion control stuff I have found costs more than a old tower.

But is will work better than any old tower too, and it will work the same on what ever PC you put it on...
