MPG problems
« on: January 11, 2011, 06:00:33 AM »
Mach3 Version R3.042.040, licensed and Version R3.043.022
Windows XP Professional

I have three Bourns ENA1J-B28-L00128 optical encoders connected to the second LPT port as MPG sources. On the second and third axis everything is working fine. Problem is with the first axis. If MPG is moved in one direction there is no movement. When the first increment into the another direction happens the motor starts to move and only Reset or Stop button will stop it. I have changed pins and encoders without success. Even change two computers has no influence. I have also checked all signals on port with oscilloscope and there are no glitches noise or illegal pulses. The problem remains if there is only first axis enabled.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Check that you do not have any other signals assigned to the same pins used by that encoder.

Cheers,

Peter.

I have disabled all inputs including Estop. All inputs except MPG inputs are set to port 0, pin 0.
