Looks to be a good alternative to the old parallel or USB port.
I have one that I need to complete the wiring on a lathe but initial testing went fine.

The SmoothStepper, both USB and Ethernet versions works very well with Win7-64. I've been using the USB SS for more than a year on Win7-64 and the ESS since last fall (since I got a beta for testing.) Take a look at: http://www.soigeneris.com/Motion_Control_and_I_O_Boards-list.aspx (my website)
