Setting depth in Lazy Cam
« on: September 26, 2010, 03:34:32 PM »
I have never used Lazy Cam before, so please bear with me.

I have imported a DXF file into LC and would like to do a simple 2D outline cut of my image  (a line drawing), all lines the same depth and width.

However I am not sure about the process of going about this in LC. Is there a way I can specify all lines in my project to be the same depth and width.

I am really wanting to try this simple exercise first in an effort to learn more about LC.

Thanks

Kevin

Kevin,
Just select all the lines you want, then create a tool, you then just apply the cut depth to all the lines and post code.
Note that if you do not set the cut depth then LC will default to some values including feedrate and Z retract which you may not want to use.
All in the manual, take a look at Tutorial #1, don't hack you way through LC. The manual can be found in Memebers Doc's.

Rich,
