Hi Mach 3 User,
I have recently acquired the new DSPMC-7762S. Now I have this running on three servo axes. Is great!
Now my question: I purchased the 7762S, This has no analog inputs.
However, I want integrate a potentiometer for G0 (rapid traverse) one for  G01 (feed)  and one for spindle speed in Mach3.
Has anyone ever been to Pokeys 55  http://www.poscope.com   with DSPMC-7762S operated together?
If so, please tell me about it.

Or how you have solved the problem?
(Mach3 and Smooth Stepper is doing well)!

Hi Guido,
I have not used the Pokeys but I have used a plc via serial Modbus with the DSPMC.
According to Rufi any of the other non motion plugins should work.

I am using DSPMC controller and Pokeys using pin 43 as analog input and works great without a problem.

Pokey is easily programmable.

Modbus is a bit too complicated for me !

Hi,
've got one yesterday from a friend Pokey and connected.
Goes well and the feed will change immediately on the display.
Well, if I, a contour milling with long segments, the feed will not immediately
taken from the potentiometer. Mach3 updates the value time-delayed.
Only after the third fourth segment of the new feed is accepted.
Can be set at the DSPMC-7762S something?
Even without Pokey, just across the screen, the behavior is same.
Did you do this? I'm using the version Mach3R3.042.038
and the latest Plugin by Vital.

This may be something to do with the DSPMC.
Depending on where it is and what kind of movement it is making it may take some time to respond to the change in feed rate.
I would try using the up down feed buttons on the TAB flyout and see if the behavior is the same.

I have the same problem with delayed FRO update. So I have emailed Rufi from Vital System and The response was good and quick. The update is much better when I modified The MaxBufferSetting.

Here is his response From Rufi

the FRO is actually delayed because of the buffering inside dspmc.  you can reduce the buffer size by using the MaxBufferLevel setting.  lower value will give you quicker FRO response, but if mach3 slow down for any reason, the axis may jerk during gcode motion.  you can test different values and comeup with an optimal value.

The Default Value is 50 and i have tried 10 seems to work better. Do know how Systemwaitfor works?
