Second controlled point?
« on: June 14, 2010, 05:25:52 PM »
Hello all!

My mill still runs on Mach2, so I have been away for a while.

Now it looks like I have to upgrade since I need to add a second asychronous spindle, future seeing also third one coming up
so I have some questions:

Since It is possible to write plugins in .NET is it also possible to use VB.NET? I am totally incompetent  ??? with C++ so i hope it is!

At the moment I have planned to use Mach3 to print the waypoints with time, reshaped to one ms steps, to a file to be used as target.
the movement would be generated as speed commands over USB according to encoder feedback and windows Stopwatch.Class if
Mach3 timer is not exposed for such usage.
With above I think Icould have more than one controlled point each running its own stopwatch instance, aiming to target starting from
1. ms

I'd appreciate all comment, especially those pointing errors or pitfalls of my reasoning.

Rgds,
Tapio
