cut circle wizard will not post
« on: June 14, 2010, 04:33:44 PM »
Hi,
This is the message I read : MSG.ToolDia(arrow)Dia
Meaning I guess dia data missing? I entered 0.25
If I enter 0 it tells me it can't be 0. So?
In config, I have tool no 1 with .25 dia., cv abs (tried both :()
other wizards (the ones I tried)  are working properly.
Don't know where to look at. :)
Any help appreciated.

Pierre

Can you post a screenshot of the values you have entered and I will put the same in here and see what happens, that way I can maybe figure out your problem.

Can't screenshot:working on 2 separate computers.
But here are the readings:
Tool Dia:+0.25
Safe Z :+2.000
Job Z :0.0000
Circle Dia: +1.5000
Depth: 0.7500
x center:+4.25
ycenter:+3.75

clerance: 1
plunge feed:20
rough feed: 30
step depth:0.1000
finish feed: 20
final cut depth: 0.75
motion and dist modes are cv, IJ modes is abs

Ok what it is telling you is the cutter Dia is larger than the circle Dia. That  is because you have a cutter Dia of 0.25 and a final cut depth of 0.75. The Final Cut depth is actually meaning a final pass width and not depth I think. Put 0 in there and it should work fine.

It is worded badly when it says Final Cut Depth, would have been better if it said Finish Cut  Amount or something like that.
