Driver test and motor tuning not working
« on: June 12, 2010, 07:19:43 PM »
Yesterday I as doing some cutting and the machine and computer stopped communicating. I talked to the company that made the machine and they said it sounded like a mach3 issue. I tried to run a driver test and nothing happened, same thing when I tried to check the motor tuning, nothing. I reloaded mach3 and they both worked fine, I loaded the xml for my machine and tried to jog the machine in the x and y axis and it is like they are both stuck on something (z is still working) so I tried to use the driver test again. No-go same with motor tuning they don't come up no matter how many times you click on them.  I am going to reload xp on my shop computer to see if that solves the problem. Any other suggestions?

I just recieved a new gecko drive for the x because the other one got a metal shaving in it some how and blew up.  So one of the first things that I did when the axis' stopped working was make sure they were both clean and there are no problems there.

I tried to attach the XML but it told me that there was already a file by that name on here?... Also where is the attach files button, or do you just press post after you browse for the file? Anyway, I tried to hook up the machine to another computer and still the same results. My friend helped me to figure out the driver test thing it seems that I moved the mach 3 folder instead of shortcutting it. That makes me think that I should try some other things a well.

The machine is a Romaxx HS-1 running the 300ipm XML.

rename your .XML to another name and then attach it
