G CODE ERRORS
« on: April 10, 2010, 04:50:20 PM »
Hi everyone I am new to using CNC and I am using a Bridgeport CNC Machiene that I have redone and using MACH 3 to run it. I designed a image in solidworks and converted it to G-Code in Bob Cad but when I go to run it on the mill I get an error that says radius to end of arc differs from radius to startline. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wront is greatly appreciated.

That means a G2 or G3 command is not properly conformed.
The center or the arc is not where it should be for the starting and end coordinates.
Check that the maths are ok and that the config is I,J incremental or absolute according to your Cam settings

Sorry to be dense but I don't understand this answer at all.  I have exactly the same problem.  My Gcode was generated by VCarve Pro based on a DXF file from TurboCad.  When I try to run it I consistently get an error message: "Radius to end of arc differs from Radius to StartLine 11".  and the system won't proceed.

I have attached the GCode file I am using Version R3.041 of the Mach3 controller.

Thanks for your help.

Go to your Gen Config screen, check Inc., and see if it loads OK.
