This may sound like beginners class but I am trying to turn or mill an internal shape to hold an er16 collet. I know it's just an 8 degree taper from start to finish but I don't know how and can't find a taper canned cycle.

kdoney,
There is a inside taper tuning Wizard in Mach3 Turn that you can use to generate the code.
The taper is nothing more than a combination X & Z move.

Wow, I didn't know all of those wizards were there. I thought it was just turning and threading.
Thanks

The only problem with the taper one is that you end up with a real long Z start point if i remember
( haven't used it in a long time). Have fun ...
