Simulation
« on: January 11, 2010, 02:43:34 AM »
The manual advises that a "s" keystroke toggles "simulation of pathing post creation of paths"  I am unclear as to what that means and more  so as i cannot get simulation to work.

Must be a secret ?  Any ideas please?

Rich

Its on page 9 /123 of the LC Manual and advises this does not work in the lathe module.  I only use the mill module.

Ok, here is how it works.
You can watch a tool go through all the created moves to machine a piece.
For example:
Say you import a profile of a square, pocket it (define the tool and cut depths etc).
LC creates all those machine moves ( pathing), a single move would be a path, and all the moves would be paths, to machine the pocket. You can't simulate how the tool moves along the paths until they are created.
If you rotate the image in the screen you will see the simualtion better as it is rather fast acting.

SO pressing the "S" key starts / allows for simulation POST creation of the paths and also stops the action.

I don't know how to alter the speed of simulation. ( Maybe that key along with some other will do it as there are
a few hundred combinations to look for )  >:D

It is what it is!

I hope your not disappointed,  ;)
