PROBLEMS OPENING A DXF FILE IN LAZYCAM

I have saved a simple  polygon with Autocad 2007 under version 12 (DXF file).  I get entities not found when the file is opened in Lazycam.  What could I be doing wrong?

Try closing the AutoCad DXF file.  LC will not open a DXF file if it is still open in Autocad.
