second parallel port
« on: December 04, 2009, 06:26:55 AM »
I need to add a second PP (for a THC300). Searched and found simpson36's recomendation. But anyone know of a tried and tested mach compatible single or better still dual port card sourcable in the UK?

Thanks

Ian

I have one in my Bridgeport that I no longer use as I have the Smoothstepper on all my machines. If you PM me your address I can send it to you as I will never use it again.

Hi

Also see http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,5566.msg83568/topicseen.html#msg83568

The SIIG cards are proper I/O cards, not just printer cards and support full input on pins 2-9

Hi Hood - thanks very much - have PM'd you.
Hi melee - thanks also - unfortunately all UK stockists I've been able to come up with register it as discontinued.

Cheers both

Hi Hood

Just to say I received your card today. Thankyou very much, really appreciate it. I'll let you know how the THC goes - when I receive it.

Cheers

No problem Ian, just glad someone can use it, shame to just throw it out. Dont recall if it came with drivers, dont think it did but if you have problems give me a shout and I will have a look.

Hood

Just an update to say I finally found time and got the THC up and running yesterday using your card. *All* I have to do now is learn how to use the THC and the Mach interface to it.

So thanks again

Cheers
