Driver Problem
« on: November 25, 2009, 04:55:47 AM »
Hello,

I'm running a a win2000 machine with a 200 Mhz processor and 128 Mb's of memory.

I encounter a problem during the installation of Mach3, the Driver for the Parallel port won't install.
The 'No driver sensed, run Driver test' is displayed, but when I try to do that without having Mach3 running it gives me the same message when I double click the
Driver Test.exe.

Do any of you know in which way I can solve this problem?

With Kind Regards,

The minumum specs for Mach3 are 1GHz processor and 512MHz ram so think you need to get a better computer I am afraid.

I knew about the minimal specifications, but I don't have anything else to work with.

The only thing I have to do, is to get the jogging working so I can test if the axis move.
Can you think of something else that could be my problem?

You can try the special driver but as your computer is so far below specs you are going to have issues in the future even if that works.

Mach2 might be a better choice for you but even with thyat I think your computer is a bit low spec'd

Isn't there another way to install or test the driver?

Try the special driver, it is in the Mach3 folder, just double click on it. If that doesnt work then there is no choice but try Mach2 or get a better computer.
