Lettering
« on: September 13, 2009, 10:01:43 AM »
I was working on some engraving samples and importing the dxf from acad to LC I could see the shape of my sign but not the lettering. Then I notice in LC under the “Loading Option. Autoclean Settings” the entry “Ignore Text Entities”.

Since I’m a beginner I wonder why would you want to ignore Text Entities when you are importing a project into LC.

I think the intent may have been...  that you can import a drawing that has text on it but that the text wouldn't
be imported. Some other programs do the same.IE; you don't want the detail title to import. Sounds logical!   ???

When most 2D CAM programs import .dxf files with text, the text can not be read, because it's usually not in a vector format.
