Simple spindle setup Mach3 + BOB CNC4PC C11 (R6.1)
« on: August 11, 2009, 07:16:37 AM »
I'm using a Bosch router and at this point without speed control. How should I set up the spindle configuration in Mach when I simply want the router to be turned ON or OFF by the relay in either pin #16 or pin #1.

Thanks a bunch,
Risto

PS. Think I got it, just required reading further the manual.  ::)

Anyone out there using CNC4PC C11? Setting up my system first with PC and C11 to see everything is OK and it isn't and have another problem. I'm using the pin 17 ie. Safety Charge Pump output to enable/disable our drives etc. The pin 17 low voltage keeps persistanty over 1.7 volts without being connected to anything. This is too high to change the state of the 7404 which I use as inverting buffer. Comments, hints previous experiences on that?

Thanks,
Risto

I'm not familiar with the C11 board. May be you could try contacting Arturo from CNC4PC.

Yes, done that, even called him over seas to his answering machine, no reply so far. Hopefully not the vacation month for him. Seems that the pin 17 goes low enough if set it's Charge Pump fuction off but not much point in that ...

He was on vacation last week. Thought he was back by now. He does reply emails though whenever he gets time.

I had a similar problem with the C1 board - a signal was not going low enough to trigger the schmitt trigger. I had to replace the resistors to temporarily fix that, before Arturo came up with a solution. So I think he is the only one who can help you with this one.

OK, must wait for him then. Some other problems arising as well. If might help if I had the pdf manual for the rev 6.1 but no manuals for the old versions on his site. (Well, if you can say a one year old card is old).

Always nice to see dealers who take care of their customers. Probably a manufacturing fault in the card and I will be shipped I replacement item.

Glad for you Risto. Arturo is really nice guy to deal with indeed. Ask him to test the new board before he sends it out though.

I received a replament board of the lates version (9.3). It has the same fault in the pin 17 low voltage with safety chage pump on as it keeps around 1.6V and we need to drive TTL logic with it. Anyone out there who has found a solution to this?

Thanks,
Risto

Hi Risto,

I don't think it is the way it meant to be, so I'd suggest again consulting Arturo.
