I'm trying to get up to speed with Mach2 and Mach3 for my new Tormach that will be here next month. My question is if there would be any fundamental differences between a CAM post for either Mach2 or Mach3. Except of course for any additional features that may be in Mach3 only.

Mach2 would run about anything and if it didn't know the comand it would skip the block Mach3 needs to have everything right or it will get mad at you. So if it is a good post it should be okay...

Thanks Brian, that now makes sense as to why some g-code would run in Mach2 and not Mach3.
