Probing Plug-in
« on: August 07, 2009, 12:20:00 PM »
Has anybody had any success with the probing plug in (not the wizard)?

After setting the parameters and attempting to start the probing routine I get a message

"Previous SEQ not yet complete"

If I hit "OK" the machine moves a bit and again "previous SEQ not yet complete"

Anyone?

Thanks.

Lawrence

Hi Lawrence,

I am experiencing the same issues with "Prev. seq. not yet complete".  Have you had any luck in solving your problem?

Conroy

What if you try an older version of Mach3? That plugin was written a while ago, and maybe the newer version of Mach3 have broken it?

OK, I downloaded the older version of Mach 3 and got it installed. Then downloaded the plug-in.  Normally double clicking the plug-in will install it. Not this time.

Seems the older version of Mach 3 doesn't know what to do with a plug in file so it doesn't install.

I sure wish Art would throw us a bone here. I'm really thrilled with mach for running my mill laser and router but unless I can get this probing plug-in running soon I'm going to have to find some other software.

The plugins structure has changed over time. SO some of the older plugins will NOT run in mach. The ones you see today that work have been recompiled to work with the current mach structures.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

We all want the probing plugin! It worked well before, was it not useful?
