trying to help my grandpa set up cnc machines

my grandpa got these cnc machines i didnt even know what they were two weeks ago i am trying to convert a home pc to run them for him we ordered the software but i need to know what kind of hardware to add to the machine does it just need regular paralel ports and does he need a breakout board  or is the software good enough. any body

Just a regular parallel port is the minimum requirement for Mach operation. A breakout board is good to have and essential for some types of CNC driver boards although not required for Gecko and some other drives.

Your Grandpa will have endless hours of fun.
