Hood-

In Featurecam I added .05" of material around the part I want to cut out. I set my 0,0 at the corner of my designed part, not the material stock. In setting up the mill, using a .500" cutter, I positioned the center of the cutter at .30, .30 then zeroed the DRO. That puts the cutter center in .05, .05.

Is there something you see in the code?

No, just that the zero position is inside the part and normal practice (if there is such a thing) is to have either the corner of the part or the centre of a circle as the zero position.
