noob question about signlab and mach
« on: May 21, 2009, 01:09:10 PM »
We currently have to working vision pro engravers with hardware controllers but need a third machine that we have built ourselves. We are trying to avoid buying a third controller and want to try Mach3 instead.
So far we have found that Vision Pro (basically signlab5) does export 3 kinds of gcode. It does load into Mach and shows on the display window properly only sometimes. But when we send it to cut it, the machine just tries to move backwards and jams. If we try to run the job in reverse, it runs way off the edge of the table. Are we missing something in setting up the parameters of the table? We cannot figure out how to move stuff around on the table like we do in vision. Does anyone know if this is possible or is it too much messing around with gcode to make it work.
Really appreciate any help to point us in the right direction.

normally you just jog to where you wish the X and Y zero position to be then zero the axis.
