I’m using MasterCam9 to generating the tool paths for my CNC Lathe and using Mach3 Turn.  
What I find interesting is the letter “E” that is used in the MasterCam tool path for threading.

Here is an example of what it generates for a ½-20 thread.

If I change the E to an F it works just fine but Mach3 sees the E and an error.

I have looked and looked for anything that would have to do with the E axis and I can’t even find anything on the Internet about an E axis.

Does anyone know MasterCam9 Lathe and can tell me if there is a setting for this?

HI, I think you can edit your post processor, I know it can be done with Mastercam X3.

You need to get from Mastercam or modify  so you have the correct post processor as ostie01
mentioned.
Different programs may generate  the "F" or in you case "E"  for the feed rate differently.
Don't be suprised if you see other things like a G33 for the threading and inverted X and Z's
from other porgrams.
 
Sort of like two Cajun's speaking  French and they don't even understand each other.

I only think i know what your talking about and that is the problem with what you chose to do and now you expect support for it. Sorry my friend. Not from me.
That said, you will need to learn how to modify the post processor. I have never needed to do that as
support is available along with the product if you know what i am talking about.
If i am wrong in my quess, then correct me and my appologies, if not my time needs to go somewhere else.
