Hello guys,
Well i just found a guy that is selling a mazak quickturn universal cnc slant lathe its from 1982.
swing 9" between centers 20" pneumatic chuck, hydraulic tailstock, 8 position turret toolchanger, 10HP spindle

The guy say it has a busted card, and that it is the only thing its missing.

Asking price... 2,500 dlls.

It has DC servos, although i couldnt get to read the plate for data.

Im thinking it would be a great retrofit, very complete from toolchanging, the automatic chuck and tailstock etc... not for beginners, but i think it wouldnt be impossible to do.

Im attaching pictures,

What you guys think? is it a good price, its hard to know for me, mainly because you dont see too many of this type machine in Mexico for sale.

Thanks
Fernando

The retrofit is definatley doable. No idea what all it will take or if the asking price is in line or not.

Make sure you can still get tooling for it, especially the chuck and chuck jaws.  You could easily spend twice the $2,500 asking price on tooling.
