why is it doing this.
« on: February 17, 2009, 11:39:06 PM »
ok got the rotary moving with a program in but know if you knowtice A0. starts fine but when it gets to A-2.053 the dro starts counting down from +360.00 so the rotary is just rotating then when it gets to -4.087 it will start again from 360.00 how come it just does nt go from A0 to A-2.053 so that way it would only do a little bit of rataion at a time just like the program says. is there a setting that I need to change or what is it that i am doig wrong.
this thing is driving me crazy any help would be apreciated.

I'm going to take a  stab at this. I'm also trying to get my 4th axis running.
By not knowing exactly what you are trying to accomplish with your program,
I unchecked the ROT ROLLOVER in the general configuration. Now your
program will run to the end and stop.
It appears your making some sort of groove.
Just to see what it was doing I clicked on SINLE BLK button and it stepped the
2.053 as each line was read.
I may be way out in left feel, but I took as stab, just trying to learn.
I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Glad it worked! You have helped me understand the 4th axis
some by posting your code.
What are you making??
Thanks olf20

was this is  bassically a cylinder that is turning and cutting on the edge it looks like a crown type I think,
but if you would like I can post the hole g-code so you can try it.
