Mach3 Ports Setup
« on: February 05, 2009, 09:54:44 AM »
Hi all,
I'm analysing THC300 schematic sample printed in Mach3 manual. There is Fault led and Fault output.
Question: Is this output connected to Mach3 and to witch port and pin in Mach3 Ports&pins Menu?
Regards,
Mrpeja

Not sure as I have never read the manual with regards THC. However you can use Input1 as a fault input and this will cease all G Code translation while it is active.

Hi, Hood,
Thanks for the reply.
If I understand, you say that Input1 is already predefined to do this, or i must map him, or what?
(I'm new user, little bit of experience)

You can tell Mach that Input 1 should be used as a fault signal. To do this you go to Config Menu then General Config and at the lower left of the General Config page you will see Programme Safety Lockout, check that box and if Input 1 is active GCode will not run, this also means any code from the MDI line will not run but you will be able to Jog the axis manually via keyboard or MPG.
