Hardware finds
« on: January 31, 2009, 11:35:45 PM »
Last year I needed to find/make an adapter for bicycle sprocket to shaft.  Living in a mountain town 90 miles from Phx  I usualy go to the local hardware looking for material.

Pipe floor flanges work fine for the application.  Just machine all over to make iat run true.

Needed to make small brass bushings for customer air drill.  Found a brass faucet repair kit with tust the material I needed.

Needed a pilot for mag truck wheel (since some locate on the hub instead of the lug nuts)  in order to use a drill jig i made to drill a new bolt pattern.  4" PVC pipe provided just what I needed.

Just look around!!

Now that's what I call innovation.

I recall using the wife's cheese board for a project a little while ago (http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,4314.0.html).
