You can do that now. One th first pass set the diameter Minus the finish cut, then do a second cut at finish diameter. The NFW will save both cuts as one file.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

I am after a option within the wizard to take multiple passes. As when cutting hard steels ,alot of  times you have to take a .005 depth of cut at a time. And to do this with a bunch of Thread Mill Wizards, it would get cumbersome. As thats what iam doin now :)
Thanks

I agree that using the multi-step ability of the wizards is the best way to handle this. Im not likley to make basic changes to the wizards now when there is an easy way to do the job

So if i have a thread that is .040 deep in hard steel,i need about .005 passes, then i would make about 8 different thread wizards?

Well you don't really make 8 different wizards. You setup the wizard and just change 1 value for each loop. When you exit the wizard will compile all the loops into 1 file.

An option would be to program a parametric macro that would allow you to program the variables before it ran. You could set thread pitch, cutter diameter, finish diameter, cut depth per pass and depth and mach would run the loop untill the final diameter was met and end the sub.

Just a thought, (;-) TP
