I have a "cheese cutter" Karla with UC100 and Treaple Beast.

In the long term I would like to switch to the ESS Smoothstepper!

Question 1:
Can I buy the ESS Smothstepper first and use my UC100 (USB parallel adapter) as an Ethernet parallel adapter?
In the second step I would like to buy new drivers and stepper motors.

Is the?

Question 2:
Can I also use the ESS Smothstepper with Estecam?

Langfristig möchte ich auf den ESS Smothstepper umsteigen!

Frage 1:
Kann ich mir zuerst den ESS Smothstepper kaufen und meinen UC100 (USB-Paralell Adapter) als Ethernet-Paralell adapter verwenden?

The UC100 can be used as a ‘stand alone product’ with Mach3 but requires stepper drivers.
The Warp9 ESS can be used as a ‘stand alone product’ with Mach3 but requires stepper drivers.
The Tripple Beast can be used with Mach3.

You will need to contact Estlcam to ask Christian if the UC100 and Warp9 ESS are supported controllers.

I know that Smothstepper needs stepper drivers.
But:
can I replace my UC100 with the Smothstepper and use my Tripple Beast as Stepper Driver?

As the output (Step, Direction, Etc.) from the UC100 is the same as the output from the ESS Smoothstepper then, if the Tripple Beast works OK with the CNC Drive UC100 then it will work OK with the Warp9 ESS Smoothstepper.
