Looks good, Chris, a thought for you for curiosity.

Maybe blacken up the "store bought" taper and see what kind of "mating" results you get with it?

Just as a comparison to what you have done, it may show that the turntable is not quite right, and that your taper is indeed better than you thought.

Of course if the store bought taper is not of a high quality, then the whole test is a waste of time, but still interesting.

Neat work so far, may I ask if you have a build thread on your R8 spindle that goes up to 9000 RPM's?

Do you possibly have a picture of it in pieces and showing/naming what bearings you used?

You are correct, it should indeed stop as I use the Shuttle all the time and do not experience that at all. What version of Mach are you using?

Ref all has to be set up as a macro to be able to do all axes.
