General Mach Discussion / Re: Feedhold stops spindle
« on: January 21, 2010, 05:45:11 PM »
Bill very difficult on the lathe you can be in a bore, cutting a LH shoulder, there are just to many ways the the tool orientates.

But the tip is in less danger than a mill of rubbing while feed hold is in action.

So with practice it is feed hold then as the cut finishes then spindle stop. ;D

Apparently the lathe is easy to a mill. :o

It the lathe screen was written by a non lathe user i forget the guys name, best keep it secret. ;D

I have changed it on my lathe screen but i haven't uploaded it yet. :-[

I use buttons like Hood but i have now changed them all to match the mill which i use as well.

There are lots of screens to choose from, mine is in the screens in progress

General Mach Discussion / Re: Toolpath screen issue
« on: January 19, 2010, 04:56:00 PM »
Hood thanks for your concern.

I am occasionally not seeing the stock model on the screen that seems when it is more likely  to happen.

I am now running ver 036 but when i pressed "close file" it did it again.

Are you sure there is nothing in your vast knowledge that could give a clue.

General Mach Discussion / Toolpath screen issue
« on: January 19, 2010, 07:02:01 AM »
This is probably my setup but i will ask anyway.

For the last few updates of Mach while i have been moving the model in the toolpath window, i have found that it can completely shut down Mach and go to the desktop ?

Also with the latest versions of the Pokeys also, upon Mach start-up it will say no Pokeys found but the Pokeys is actually working

This is a laptop with a motion control device. ;)

I am just about to start using ver 036 Hood says it for weird computers & i think mine fits the bill. ;D

Hi Jason,

Thank you so much, it beats checking a custom screen with a flashing red led 25mm x 50mm while turning the MPG. ;D

It's so easy when you know how, i would never have got that.
