Multi-spindle control

Recently saw some pics of a CaMaster Cobra 3-spindle machine.  I am intrigued by the three-spindle idea it employs.  It ought to be cheaper than a regular tool changer.  I am trying to build my own machine and will be using Mach3.  Has anyone used the multi-spindle plug-in, 3spindleplug, to do that?  How well does it work?  Have you found that three different cutters are enough to do most of your jobs?  Do you wish you had gone with an ATC instead.  Thanks for input.
