THC 300
« on: September 30, 2008, 09:25:20 PM »
Hi All,

I have been using plasma for a while and recently decided to add a THC 300 to it.

the indexing operation is working fine with the torch,  but the program stips at M3

code and does not turn the torch ON, torch can be turned on

manually no problem with the signal from card to the relay.

Look at your spindle set up page, under Ports and Pins, you will see an OUTPUT check box with number of output for the M3 command.
Make sure you Allow M3 output control there, and set that output to the one that turns on your torch.

(make sure the Disable relays is UNCHECKED).

Thanks Scott

Got the THC running after a long time..

Everything is working fine...................... I would like to reduce the speed of the corrections done to the Z axis by the THC.

Regards,

Antony.

For speed lower your Z axis velociy, but if it is jerky movements then look at reducing your Acceleration same axis.

By lowering the Z axis velocity, this will again reduce my Z axis speed during probing.....I want the probing speed to remain same.

Then set your Probing Feed Rate higher.........

I.e.    If your probing was   G31 Z-2 F4
and now it is 1/2 the velocity it was and is to slow with the motor Vel set down set it to:
G31 Z-2 F8
