Mastercam 9 to mach3

Can Mastercam work with Mach3 ?I am using Mastercam 9 now, I do not know if Mach3 can work with Mastercam?

Yes, they work great together. I really cant think of any cam program that mach will not work with. You might have to try different posts until you find one that suits your needs. Generic Fanuc 3 axis mill should be a good starting point. Good luck.

hey qho
I am using mastercam x and the way I use it is I simply do the toolpath then I generate the g- code on mastercam.
then I save it to my usb then I take it to my machine (which I am using mach 3 ) then I just load the g code in it
and it works really good. I just do a liitle editing thats becase I dont have limit switches on my machine.

Hey Josh, I think he was asking if the post processor for Mastercam found at that link would generate good code for Mach.

I thought qho just wanted to see if mastercams g code code would work in mach,
theres  just  to much to learn and not enought time.
know I have to find out if mastercam has  a post processor for mach.
I hope I a making some kind of sence ??? ??? ???
I forgot to mention on the mastercam post processor i do just select the one that says (generic)

Thank you all.I am in process of building a DIY CNC router,want to make sure Mach3 will work with Mastercam.When I finish it , I will post it . Thank you again.
