problems with G31 Z and bed o' nails type probing
« on: November 20, 2007, 05:38:00 AM »
Like with Art's wizard or Art and Brian's plugin (or anything else that uses G31 Z). Anyone come accross feedrate randomly changing and G31 Z crunching your probe after ignoring it touched on the way down? Seems to come and go at random, but both happen together.

I'm pretty sure this didn't happen pre 2.56 but I may be wrong.

:'(HELP!!! I am having a similar problem with a NC Max Probe using the wizard.
First I had to switch the input to low active because the circuit is normally closed which solved that problem. After initializing the program file it works quite normally but seems to "overshoot" past the contact in Z axis only, Crunching the probe each time we try it. I set the ramp very steep to abruptly stop the probe upon touch with no apparent change in results. Any Ideas what I'm doing wrong with this otherwise normally perfectly functioning GANTRY ROUTER?   ???
