Lazycam size problem - svg
« on: August 07, 2008, 06:29:45 PM »
Hello guys,

I'm new to CNC mill and I'm just looking at mach3/lazycam. I'm using Illustrator CS3 to create my drawings and saving them as SVG as the support for DXF is not really good.

The problem I have is that the scaling of the drawing once imported into Lazycam is not the same, I have a 7" circle in Illustrator but once in LC it shows up as 504 units. I looked at the source of my svg and it is saved as 504... but pixels.

I looked at the SVG specification (http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/coords.html) and PX is a supported measurement unit. Should it be supported under LC? if not anyone know of a converter?

I'm attaching an example. The outside circle is supposed to be 7"

Hi, Boboxx

Don't now if I can Load it, You should be able to scale it in LCam though or do it in your Cad.

Hey Chip,

I just tried it but you lose some precision....

I set the X and Y to 7" but if I go back in it's set to 7.006
