Figuring out a linear accuator stepper

I just got a Hayden accuatiator 1.8 deg/step and I think 0.00125 linear motion/step so how do I set up the steps/inch I can set my HobbyCNC board to microstep of 2/4/8 which I suppose I should do. So is it 1/0.00125 x 200 x microsteps = 1 inch???

1 rev of your motor will be 1/4" Linear movement (200 steps @ 0.00125") , so 4 revs of your motor is 1 inch. 4 x 200 x MicroStep= steps per inch.

Thanks Hood,
spent way to much time during math class staring out the window it seems. Kind of explains why when I entered g1 z1 it ran out of room! Had SPI set to 20,000 should be 6400 at 8 microsteps.

Sometimes the more you look at something the harder it seems to be to work it out, take a step back and look again and often things are clearer

Hood,
That was the easy part, got it running semi-tuned the motor, now I have to figure out the mechanical linkage and setup!

Hi, Kristin
In the post you deleted, Did you try changing the Motor Outputs, Low/Actives to the opposite State for step/direction's ?
It's sorta been a G-oust Town Around Hear.
