Isolating an Input Problem

External E-Stop, NC Pushbutton, OEM Trigger, Input 15, Active LOW.
C11 BoB with on-board Analog OUT to a VFD.
When the part program starts, it calls M3 S1200 and within seconds, "External E-Stop Requested".
Set debounce to 2000, within 10 seconds...same thing.
REMOVED the input wiring from the BoB and put a 2" jumper, 5V to 15.  Same thing happens.
Moved the jumper to 5V and 12....NO TRIP.
Set the debounce back to 10....NO TRIP>
Wired the button back to 5V and 12, debounce at 10....runs forever.
Does this positively isolate the problem to the BoB ?
Or is there anything else any of you know of that I could check ?

Sounds like it, maybe just too much going on in these multi function BOBs?

Thanks for your input Hood.
"All on One Board" is a cool concept and really saves on space.
But I'm with you....maybe one shouldn't have "All Eggs in One Basket".

Yes compact is nice but sometimes its not the best. Not saying that is the case here, was just kind of thinking aloud but I dont even use the relays on my BOB, prefer to have relays mounted a bit further away :) Maybe I just go a bit overboard on trying to make sure I dont have noise issues  ::)

I agree...All on one board does is introduce the possibility if nothing else.
You using a PDM Extra..or something like that ?

ah OK yes I have the PMDX 122, its a basic board in as much as theres only one relay on it but as I said I dont use the relay, just dont fancy switching anything greater than 5v on the breakout as it has the possibility of introducing noise. I do like the PMDX it is high on quality from what I see, it was the second BOB I owned after getting a recommendation from a guy who knows his stuff (Yes you John P ;) ) First BOB was from eBay and it caused me no end of grief, have never seen these BOBs again so maybe that is why LOL. Only other BOB I have used was Eds from CNC Building Blocks, another excellent board with the nice Index homing feature, sadly he is no longer making them :(

Yes, have the PMDX on the Bridgeport with the SS, also have a PMDX and Acustep on the Lathe but not used the SS on that yet as the spindle syc is not implemented  and I do a lot of threading. The Beaver mill that I am doing also has a PMDX and an Acustep with SS but again I have not run that yet.
