5 Axis CAM program For MACH - HELP
« on: May 09, 2008, 12:24:27 PM »
Does anybody know any other cam program than Mastercam with a simple postprocessor creator to be used for Mach?

Regards

Use a Fanuc 6,11 or 18 post.

? is Fanuc 6 a program you can just get to use as a post processor?
I am in need of a "lazycam" type program that I can import a dxf wireframe
that has X, Y, and Z movements at all different but simple angles.
Is this something I can use.
Or should I just try to find someone who has a older version of mastercam that
can generate these moves?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

DXF is not normally used for 3D, DXF is best for 2D drawings, IGES is for 3D.  Fanuc 6 refers to a g-code format used in Fanuc 6 cnc controls that a CAM system produces code for.
