Wow 20-30 minutes, what patients! I would have assumed it was broken and given up in 3.

If you are talking about the SPEED and ACCEL/DECEL tuning in Mach this is probably a PC - Mach issue. I would disable the Galil plugin and see if it reacts the same.

 hi,
after disabling the Galil plugin , response is much quicker within a 1 sec. provide some solution to this problem.
another two things i  want to confirm .
             1: can i use input/output of galil DMC-2123 controller using MACH3 software.
2: can i use my galil DMC-2123 controller as a standalone system by uploading code in machine using MACH3
                 software.

I can answer 1 & 2 but why the Galil plugin is effecting the tuning window so adversely is beyond me?!

1. Yes you can use the I/O. Mach sees the Galil I/O on PORT#1, PIN# = the I or O#. Home and limits only have to be enabled.

2. Since Mach is doing the trajectory planing I would say it has to be connected for standard CNC operation.

Hi Guys,

This is my first visit.

I currently have a bridgeport series 1 cnc mill running with the following things. Have been using this setup for about 6 years.

Stepper motors from Pacific Scientific

wingcnc software from jraco (similar to Camsoft very stable, but very basic)

Pendant from jraco that works with galil

galil optima dmc 1740 isa card

Ahha 4 axis controller box  ( I had to integrate 2 Gecko g210 drives after 2 Ahha drives went bad and Ahha has closed its doors)
And by the way, the Gecko drives are far superior to the Ahha drives.

I am very interested in trying Mach3 or whatever Mach version is the best.

From your experience is Mach a stable software?

Should I continue to use the current Galil board? And if so why and how do I do it?

I know I am asking for much on my first post.

Thanks for any help.
Bubba
