Mach3 strange behaviour with axel 4
« on: July 09, 2008, 05:08:40 PM »
Hi. I use the 4'th axe in Mach3, then i assign some hotkeys in screendesigner. When i press + for no#4 then it newer stop.
I recognize this problem for the other axe's in an earlyer version of mach. Maybe it's a bug. Sure...

Thank's / Olov

Not sure exatly what you are doing but to asign hotkeys to Jog the A axis (or any other) go to Config Menu then down to Hotkeys. Click on the one you want to change and a box will apear, press the key you want and thats it set. You may run into problems if the key is already used for another function so be aware of that if you start getting funny things happening.

Hi, thank's for the really fast answer to my problem. Yes, it sure works to do like that. What i tried to do was to assign hotkeys to axis 4 in screendesigner4.
It did work for X,Y,Z. But not for the 4'th axis. That one just continued to run after i released the button. But when i did like u told me, inside Mach3 it did work. Thank's for that. It must be some problem with the "communication" between Screendesigner4 and Mach3...
Anyway, this solved my problem. Thank u for a really nice and cheap CNC program / Olov, Sweden
