This will hopefully redice the amount of repeditive questions and build up as a resource for future users.

I have one on the way as well as a 1 KW brushless motor. I will be setting this up on an Analam Mill that I am getting shipped up here in a few days :) This is going to be fun  ;D

I will post here as I get things running...

Brian now if you need someone to help test those GREXers I have a 4 axis mill waiting to go with 1kw drives installed. It would be easy to convert over at this time.  (:~)= Terry

Hi Tom:

When you say you presses Launch firmware, did you load the MachIV forware
first?

Basically, it works this way, you connect using Gloader, then you set a
timeout of 5 seconds on the html page, load the MachIV firmware usign the
html page, also load the fpga config using the html page. Then, you can
press launch..

If you didnt load the firmware, power i foff, and then on, and reconnect
using the Gloader. Its why you need that 5 second delay, youll get no
connection when the firmware is running. If you DID do all the above, you
now need to run MachIV. Does it run and connect? There is a G100 page in the
MachIV software which will show you in real time the communications to the
G100..

Let me know where your at and Ill help you get it running..

Thanks,
Art

We recieved our G100 Motion Controller (Grex) on Thursday and had it moving a servo motor on Friday.  Congratulations to Marris at Geckodrives for the fine engineering and to Art for the great software.  This is truly the future of control.

The hardware is compact and clean.  All signals are monitored with miniature LEDS. Connection to an amp is simple.

Art's software is a work in progress yet very functional.  Motor speed and smoothness is impressive.  Very exciting.!!  ;D

Thanks Marris and Art.

The Grex will move it a little bit faster... Other than that there is not much that it is going to do for a stepper machine at this time.
