File system for clean install of WinXP

I am doing a clean install of XP on a PC (P3 733mhz, 256 meg ram, 16 gig HDD, a little slow I know) dedicated to my CNC

I chose NTFS
should I have chosen FAT32?

I do Fat32 but that is just me...
