Cutter Comp G41 in MACH4 Hobby
« on: October 30, 2024, 06:28:57 PM »
I am trying to get cutter comp to work and I do not know if it is possible using the hobby version. On day two of trying to get this to work. I was using Fusion 360 but when my subscription lapsed, they started posting out G01 as G00 so it tends to slow things way down.
Here is what I am trying to use this is just a simple program to see if I could get it to work.

Cutter comp does work in Mach4 with code posted from Fusion.  I used to use it all the time when I had a Mach4 mill that I ran all my parts on.
You just need to make sure the that you are using the Compensation Type as "In Control" under the passes tab in your toolpath.
Also, I don't see a "D" value on your G41 line, so it isn't using the diameter of your tool.
